Lofthus works in the department of IP, technology & EEA where she works in particular with Intellectual Property Rights. In addition, Lofthus has expertise and experience with construction law, and assists on a daily basis with advisory work and dispute resolution also within various aspects of this area of law. 

Lofthus is also a part of the law community at the University of Stavanger and holds seminars and assesses coursework assignments for students in legal courses. 

Lofthus completed her master’s degree in law at the University of Bergen in 2020. Lofthus also went on exchange to the University of Southampton in England, where she specialized in Intellectual Property Law. During her studies Lofthus was employed by the University of Stavanger to tutor students in legal courses.
