Audun has substantial experience and expertise in all types of contracts and business areas in which oil companies are involved. He has very extensive experience with coordination agreements related to oil deposits (unitisation and tie-ins). He has substantial experience from work with the regulatory framework (Petroleum Act and regulations pursuant thereto), as well as licensing conditions and legal problems related to the cooperation agreement and accounting agreement. He has extensive experience with negotiations and handling contracts linked to processing, transport of oil and gas and gas sales contracts. Audun has been involved in a number of negotiation processes linked to the aforementioned types of contracts.
Audun has extensive experience from the conveyance of oil companies, as well as conveyances (farm-ins) related to production licences, both with regard to interests in exploration licences, conveyance of interests in fields in the development phase and fields in the production phase.
Audun has long experience with dispute resolution before the courts (and through arbitration and mediation) for major cases in the area of oil and oil services. He has a unique mixture of experience in handling cases of this type, as a litigating lawyer, as an staff lawyer in companies involved in a dispute and as a judge and mediator in such cases.
As a lawyer, Audun has assisted clients in substantial dispute cases before the courts related to the fabrication and rebuilding of drilling rigs. He has extensive experience with handling extensive disputes as a staff lawyer at BP and at Talisman. At Talisman, Audun was essentially involved in the handling of a major arbitration dispute between Talisman and a supplier to the Yme project. During his period as a district court judge in Stavanger District Court, Audun handled a number of disputes related to the oil and gas industry. Audun was the judge in a very extensive fabrication dispute between Statoil and the supplier Tractebel related to the Snøhvit project, regarding a very substantial amount in dispute, in which the main hearing lasted for approximately 12 months. As a judge, Audun also served as a mediator in several major dispute cases related to the same sector.
