Knut Anders Sannes has comprehensive competence and experience in Norwegian and international contracts law, in particular within finance, corporate, construction and engineering.

The combination of having experience and competence on finance contracts, company law and engineering & construction contracts, provides him with a profound understanding of the interests and risks of the various entities involved in construction projects. He has also extensive experience in co-operating and negotiating with persons, lenders, owners, contractors, engineers, suppliers, authorities and lawyers in several jurisdictions and within several types of industries. This competence enables him to provide constructive and effective advice during both the structuring of the project’s organization and contracts, and during drafting, negotiation and management of contracts.

Sannes has acted as a legal advisor in several of the largest construction projects onshore in Norway. During the last +10 years he has also been involved as legal advisor in several renewable energy projects in Norway and worldwide. He provides legal advice in all phases of the projects; feasibility studies, EIA, FEED, detail design, construction, completion and dispute resolution.

He cares for all interests of his clients and assist the client in understanding and securing desired terms not only in the project’s main contracts, but also in associated contracts such as shareholders’ agreements, JVagreements, guarantees, etc.

Sannes prefers to prevent and manage contractual unclarities and disputes in the drafting and management of the contracts, but has also comprehensive experience in dispute resolution and litigation. Both from the Supreme Court, arbitration and the ordinary courts in Norway.
