Marianne Gjerstad works in Kluges practice areas employment/data protection, ICT/IP law and dispute resolution.
She works primarily with privacy law and digitalisation, including questions regarding use of new technology. Marianne assists clients with data processing agreements, cloud computing, control measures in employment, cyber security, internal control and handling data breach. She advises clients in both public and private sector in different industries, including health, technology, mobility and cultural activity.
Marianne also has considerable experience within employment law. She assists clients with the ongoing challenges in working with management, HR and personnel issues. All aspects of employment law are encompassed by the assistance, including hiring, dismissal, restructuring and downsizing processes, data protection, working hours and whistleblowing cases.
Marianne furthermore works with intellectual property right issues in employment, including unlawful exploitation of industrial rights and breach of the Marketing Control Act.
She is experienced with negotiations, and with dispute resolution both in and out of the court. Marianne has been used as an external examiner at the University of Oslo and she regularly gives lectures within her practice areas.
