Marte Thorsby is head of CMS Kluge's department of IP, technology and EEA.

Thorsby is an experienced IP lawyer with strong commercial skills. Marte has been head of IFPI Norway since 2006, representing international and domestic record producers in lobbying, public and legal affairs covering the Norwegian market. She has been central in restructuring, streamlining and adapting the music industry to a purely digital market.

Thorsby is an advanced practitioner within the broad IP area, in addition to being an advanced advisor within the copyright field, she is heavily engaged within patent, trademark, design and market law. She has an advanced expertise in establishing, maintaining and enforcing IP rights.

Thorsby has comprehensive board experience, both as Chairman and board member for several companies and organizations. She has broad experience within communications and public affairs.

Marte has held several lectures nationally and internationally. She has been a lecturer at NYU on The Scandinavian Music Industry and the digital transformation, she has been a lecturer several times for JUS (Jurist Education Center) within Copyright, for BI (Norwegian Business School) on copyright and the music industry, infringement and enforcement, for several companies and organisations on copyright related issues and the legal framework for the Music industry in Norway.
