Per Sigvald assists both public and private clients in major, complex construction, infrastructure, energy and industry disputes. He has substantial experience within dispute resolution and litigation, and is admitted to the Supreme Court. He has as an attorney-at-law in the Office of the Attorney General (Civil Affairs), argued a wide range of civil cases before all instances of courts, including the Supreme Court, and has contributed in mediations as well as negotiations out of courts. Upon joining Kluge law firm, he has acted as lead counsel in several major commercial disputes, both before the courts, in arbitral proceedings and in mediations.
Per Sigvald possesses extensive experience and in-depth knowledge within contract law. He has at the Office of the Attorney General (Civil Affairs), litigated, negotiated and provided advice in various contract law cases; including sale and purchase of customized goods, service concession and various forms of construction contracts. In Kluge law firm, Per Sigvald has acted as lead counsel in several major construction and infrastructure disputes.
Per Sigvald has previous experience as Deputy Judge and legal advisor in the Ministry of Justice, Legislation Department with responsibility for the laws of contract and tort. He has international experience from representing Norway in expert committees of the EFTA, EU-Commission, OECD and UNCITRAL.
Per Sigvald has been an appointed member of several government-appointed law commissions. He was a member of the Credit Purchase Law Commission and the Audit Requirement Law Commission.
He has for many years regularly been giving lectures on contract law, company law and civil procedural law at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Law.
