Silje is affiliated to Kluge’s Public Sector Department. She works primarily with public procurement within technology and mobility, and intellectual property.
Silje holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Oslo. She was a research assistant at the Department of Private Law, where she wrote her master thesis about legal protection of machine learning and artificial intelligence. The thesis examined automated music generation, and whether there is an author to the music composed by the machine. The thesis also examined protection of other aspects of the machine learning process, in particular database protection of the data, and patent protection of software processing the data. In addition, Silje holds a bachelor’s degree of performing arts, as a flautist, from the Norwegian Academy of Music. She has therefore a broad competence and understanding of the Norwegian music industry.
